JOB-01 Industry Wallpaper is a part of Archives collection by Studio Job for NLXL. The Collection reflects a retrospect of the history of Studio Job. They used archetypical drawings and these universal symbols are combined as iconographic elements for patterns, compositions and embossing, ultimately creating 6 designs: Industry, Labyrinth, Perished, Alt Deutsch, l'Afrique and Withered Flowers (Black and Color).
The Icons for Industry were designed in 2008 in response to the installation Farm (ZZM) and the Bavarian collection (Moss). In contrast to the seemingly 'peaceful' farm themes, Industry was very confrontational, with bombs, artillery shells, nuclear power plants, gas masks and missiles.
This collection of Studio Job won the Editor’s award at ICFF New York in 2014.
Founded in 2010, NLXL is known for Scrapwood Wallpaper, brainchild of designer Piet Hein Eek and NLXL founders Rick and Esther Vintage.
