The wild grass

Christel Sadde

This sculpture came into being very naturally and a little by chance, through handling flexible rods to create Christel’s large mobiles. Its name “les Herbes Folles” [Wild Grass] seemed an obvious choice. It was her 1st non-suspended sculpture. It is poetic and delicate, depicting a subtle disorder which is impossible to resolve. It caresses itself and the grasses joyfully move and sway before resuming their place.
