What a boar!

Marcantonio

What a Boar! The bored Boar who destroyed a brass chandelier and still squeezes the pieces between the teeth. After the success of the monkey lamps and mouse lamps, he decided to free his love for animals and create a collection of exclusive pieces. His passion for sculpture pushed him to look for more artistic, plastic subjects in order to better express the desire to use hands. His desire was to make large sculptures. His imagined a dreamlike scene, a dreamy giraffe that goes for a walk with a chandelier in its mouth, as enchanted she illuminates the road that runs, has its head in the clouds because she is in love. He wanted to add to his sculptures these antique chandeliers to make them more exclusive and special, both for the brass components value and for the difficulty of the sculpture process that must be entirely done by hand around the piece of the chandelier. To make the composition even more magical he left the electric cable as if it were torn, as if the animal had broken the piece recently, but the light is still on. The sculpture is made by hands with the techniques of classical sculpture, first in clay then molded and finally reproduced and retouched.
